素有光州明洞之称的忠壮路是光州新兴的时尚街道，为了纪念“忠壮公”金德龄将军的忠节，1946年起这条街被命名为忠壮路，并沿用至今。忠壮路1街到3街沿途设有各种服装商店、饰品卖场和百货店，4街和5街上则云集了各种出售传统婚礼韩服、改良韩服的商店。
